 Toss

The team that wins the toss shall have a choice of the court, or the raid.


 

Match Duration

The match is divided into two halves of 20 minutes each along with five minutes interval between the halves.


 

Scoring

Each team will score a point for every opponent being out or put out.


 


Out

The player shall be declared out if any of his body part touches outside the court or if any player goes out of the end line during the course of play. If one or more defenders who have gone out of the boundary holding the raider shall be declared out but the raider will not be out.


 


Struggle

The court shall include the lobbies when the struggle starts. The players involved in the struggle can use the lobbies to enter their respective sides of the court. This rule is applicable only in the defending side of the court.


 


Raider

Only one raider at a time can enter the opponent’s court. If more than one raider enters, the referee or the Umpire shall order them all to go back and the technical point will be awarded to the opponent along with the chance to raid. After the raider reaches his court, the opponent team should send their raider to the other team within 5 seconds, and if they fail to do so the team will lose its chance to raid and the opponent will be awarded a technical point.


 


Defenders

The defenders shall not willfully stifle the chant of the raider by shutting his mouth, or any other unfair means to harm him. If it happens the official shall declare the raider as NOT OUT.


 


Empty Raid

If a raider does not score or lose any point during the raid then the raider will be treated as an empty raid for the team. If the team makes three such consecutive raids then the raider of the third empty raid shall be declared out and the opponent team will be awarded one point along with one player being revived.


 


Violations & Fouls

 The player shall be awarded with green, yellow or red cards by the umpires in the following cases:-

In case of disrupting the match in spite of the official’s decision.

Making derogatory remarks about the official’s decision.

Stifle the raider by shutting his mouth in any way

Violent tacking which leads to injury

Hold the raider with the help of scissors made by legs

Taking more than 5 seconds to start the raid

Preventing the raider to take his turn of raid

Coaching from outside the playing area

 The umpire or the referee in the aforesaid cases can use the following cards to warn, temporarily suspend or completely suspend the player/tem/manager from the match or the tournament.

Green Card- As an initial warning

 Yellow Card- Two minutes suspension from the game along with one technical point to the opponent team

 

Red Card- One technical point to the team along with the suspension from the match. The team who has lost the player has to continue the match with the remaining no. of players with no. substitution.
